Located in New Plymouth, the branch is expected to employ 10 persons over the next 24 months. The business currently employs 35 personnel between its bases across the South Island.
Speaking about the expansion, managing director Justin McEntyre said,
“We’re excited to expand our business. While we are already working on projects in the North Island, establishing a base there will enable us to have ‘boots on the ground’ so to speak and improve our capacity and response times for our clients. We’re delighted to announce that experienced fire protection professional Sam Roiall will be joining as our Regional Manager.
Most recently Sam worked as National Sales Manager for Ryanfire Products NZ. Our first major contract has been secured working with Leighs Construction on Taranaki Base Hospital including Renal building and Energy Centre. The client approached us from the other end of the country in order to ensure they would receive the Quality they required. So we had a look and thought this was an opportune time to fully establish and employ & train local staff”.
“Contego have rapidly established themselves as ‘game changers’ within the passive fire protection industry leading to better outcomes for developers and ultimately improved protection for building end users. It’s exciting to be leading their expansion in the North Island”, said Sam Roiall, Regional Manager.
