University of Otago | Dental School Passive Fire Protection underway
Contego. has commenced work on the $100M University of Otago Dental School Redevelopment.
This project will involve > 18 months of Passive Fire Protection work on site & has already involved 12 months of pre planning & design co-ordination with the Leighs Cockram J.V team.
Contego. are pleased to be on site & starting this major project. Our work on site will include:
- Stage 1 - CSB New Build 5 Storey Clinical Services building
- Stage 2 – Walsh Building 5 storey Refurbishment
- 1km of Curtain Wall & Exterior Cladding Fire Stopping
- >6000 penetrations treated
- State of the art Dental facility building
- Modern Fire Stopping tracking, documentation & reporting for all Passive Fire works
Contego. held a Training & Information session with the entire project Services trades, Main Contractors project team & Partitioning contractors detailing the Quality approach to Passive Fire Protection on this project and the systems we have promoted. Feedback from this session was that all contractors involved have never had such a proactive approach to Passive Fire Protection on a major project and has laid the foundation for a smooth Passive Fire project.
